An 18-year-old suspect sheriff’s deputies say killed former Canyon baseball player Joshua Pipho, pictured, surrendered to authorities on Wednesday and was formally charged with murder.

Michael Stephens, a Stevenson Ranch resident and a Bowman High graduate, turned himself in after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Early Saturday morning, Pipho, 20, was killed after he and a friend became involved in a 10-15 person brawl in a Stevenson Ranch condominium parking lot. Pipho was hit by a vehicle two times and was stabbed multiple times, according to sheriff’s deputies. His friend, Chad White, suffered 17 stab wounds and remains in critical condition at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital.
