I’m at Valencia High in Placentia for the Southwest Division semifinal between top-seeded El Dorado and visitng South Hills.

But before I go any further, let me just say Kettle Masters Kettle Corn is the best in the Southland. If you’ve ever been to a Cal State Fullerton baseball game, you know what I’m talking about. Those are the same guys that have a stand here at Bradford Stadium, and you know I’m going to buy a bag.

Before I get in line, let me give you a couple of pregame tidbits:

-- Three South Hills players have D-I offers, but one of them, OL Kebin Umodu, is out with a knee sprain.
-- El Dorado Coach Jeff Bailey is crazy. The temperature will not be freezing cold, but it may be close, and Bailey is in shorts and a windbreaker. I don’t know if he dressed that way to motivate his team or to intimidate the opposition, but I like it.

The line for kettle corn is long, and getting longer by the second, so I’m going to hop in so I can bag a bag before kickoff.
