Oaks Christian leaves no doubt about it

Thank you Oaks Christian. Thank you for making me look a whole lot smarter than I really am. I predicted the Lions would defeat Oak Park by at least two touchdowns in Friday’s Northwest Division playoff semifinal showdown.

And what did they do? Just went out and took it to their bitter rivals from beginning to end in a 34-0 victory. Ouch!

I was in contact with Kevin Connelly of the L.A. Daily News throughout the game, so I had a good idea of how things played out. Click here to read his accounts of the one-sided affair. Oaks Christian awaits the winner of Nordhoff and St. Bernard in tonight’s other semifinal with a date in Friday’s title game.

I have a feeling Nordhoff will prevail against the Vikings but am not bold enough to make another official prediction. Calpreps.com likes St. Bernard. Besides, I wouldn’t want a blemish on my record if the Rangers come up short, especially after Oaks Christian made me appear to know what I’m talking about for once.
