Pacifica leads Cypress, 14-7, after first quarter

After one quarter of play, Pacifica is ahead of Cypress, 14-7, in the Southern Division championship game at Cerritos College.

Three turnovers, including one that was returned for a touchdown by Pacifica, and an 80-yard touchdown pass play that was called back by the officials seemed to have the fans (and reporters) at the edge of their seats on each play.

When they played each other during the regular season, Pacifica won, 35-34, when Cypress decided to attempt a two-point conversion at the end of the game but failed.
