Sorry, St. Paul, but I gotta do this

Man, I hate doing this -- really hate picking against St. Paul, which will play in the Western Division finals tonight against visiting Palmdale. The Swordsmen have the hard-nosed history, the frenzied faithful and ‘The Pit,’ the coolest nickname for any high school stadium.

Prognostication: Palmdale 20, St. Paul 14.

Reasoning: The Falcons have not lost a game since Sept. 7 and their defense -- averaging a meager 13 points against -- will shut down the one-dimensional St. Paul attack, which runs, runs and runs all game long.

Disclaimer: Uh, I stink at prognostications.
