Crespi QB Brian Bennett just completed a pass that wasn’t to Poly safety Vaughn Telemaque. However, Telemaque went over and pulled the receiver down hard to the ground. Reminded me of a calf roper. Only Telemaque was much rougher and didn’t use a rope.

I’m pretty sure Crespi Coach Jeremiah Ross pulled Bennett aside and told him to stop throwing the ball near the guy with the funky striped socks.

‘Look downfield, and if you see those socks, throw it someplace else.’ I’m pretty sure that’s how the conversation probably went.

Crespi has actually put together a reasonable drive. From its own one, it has moved to the Poly 15 with less than a minute left in the half. Shanks got the carry on third and one from the 15, but Jurrell Casey swallowed him up for a one-yard loss. Crespi’s going to take the easy way out and kick a field goal. Maybe it saw Poly’s game against Orange Lutheran last week.

Poly leads at halftime, 6-3.
