Brasovan, also a junior, never relinquished her lead and finished in 17:20. Kroeger was the runner-up in 17:28, and Hasay was third in 17:31.

Kauren Tarver of Phelan Serrano finished 10th in 17:53. It marked the third time the senior has finished among the top 10 runners in her four appearances in the nationals.

Senior Riley Sullivan of Trabuco Hills finished 20th in the boys’ race with a time of 15:46. Fout, also a senior, won the race in 14:50.
