St. Bonny off to fast start in Northern Division final

Hart tried an onside kick to start its Northern Division championship game against Ventura St. Bonventure at the Home Depot Center. It failed, with St. Bonaventure’s Loren Powers recovering on the 49.

Then the Seraphs made the Indians pay. Quarterback Casey Serna completed a 40-yard touchdown pass play to Darrell Scott with 10:31 left in the first quarter, giving St. Bonaventure a 7-0 lead. Scott, the receiver, was impressive making the catch.
