State bowl selections: Centennial gets nod in Division I

The Division I state bowl game will match the top two teams in the state, according to nearly every ranking and poll, in Corona Centennial (13-1) and Concord De La Salle (12-0).

The Division III state bowl game, as expected, will match St. Bonaventure ( 13-1) against Modesto Central Catholic (11-1-1).

In Division II, the selection committee opted for North Coast Section 2A champion Novato (13-0)over Northern Section Division I champion Palo Cedro Foothill. The Hornets will take on Oceanside (11-1).

Saturday at Home Depot Center
Division III: Ventura St. Bonaventure (13-1) vs. Modesto Central Catholic (11-1-1), 11:30 a.m.
Division II: Oceanside (11-1) vs. Novato (13-0), 3:30 p.m.
Division I: Corona Centennial (13-1) vs. Concord De La Salle (12-0), 7:30 p.m.
