QB guru goes national

Steve Clarkson, the private coaching guru to quarterbacks in Southern California, has been hired as president of a new amateur sports division of DeBartolo Sports and Entertainment.

Clarkson will oversee camps and private training opportunities based in Los Angeles. He will continue to train quarterbacks around the country but also start camps for other sports.

Clarkson, who graduated from Los Angeles Wilson in 1979 and was an All-City quarterback, has trained Matt Leinart, J.P. Losman and Ben Roethlisberger, among others.
