Bass has matured in more ways than one

A few new details emerged on Corona Centennial running back Ryan Bass in a story in today’s Press-Entreprise.

I didn’t know about the postgame criticism of his offensive line after he was held in check against Norco two years ago. I covered that game, but at the time I must have been interviewing Norco running back Toby Gerhart, who rushed for 441 yards and six touchdowns that game.

Bass seems rather reserved the few times I’ve talked to him this season. He pretty much delivers the standard answers, such as crediting the offensive line for his success.

Now I know why.
