Solomon comes to the rescue

When Los Angeles Fairfax played Venice in a Western League boys’ basketball game last week, Coach Harvey Kitani was minus three starters, including center Renardo Sidney, who had his tonsils and four wisdom teeth removed.

Coming to the rescue was guard Chris Solomon, pictured left, who scored 44 points in the Lions’ victory. Solomon has always been considered a top scorer, but has put his team ahead of scoring. So when the Lions needed him, he delivered.

Fairfax leaves Thursday morning for a tournament in Florida.
