On Jan.11, in between the girls and boys Muir vs Pasadena rivalry doubleheader, Fluker’s Muir jersey will be retired.

Fluker, who will turn 23 next week and is a current member of the Los Angeles Sparks, was a top-10 finalist for the Naismith National Player of the year Award, a Parade Magazine All-American and was invited to play in the inaugural McDonald’s All-American game during her senior year at Muir.

The current Mustangs, who were ranked No. 7 in the Times’ preseason rankings, are off to a 5-0 start. They have been beating opponents by an average of 30.8 points a game.
