You figured recruiting interest for Jordan Mannisto would eventually begin to pick up after NCAA Division I scouts had some time to sit back and truly evaluate the record-breaking career turned in by the senior kicker/punter from Westlake. Well, it appears as if that time is now.

Mannisto had been contacted by several colleges, including San Diego St., during the season and has recently been offered scholarships to play at Nevada and Wyoming. Setting the Ventura County all-time mark for field goals made (26), previously held by Felipe Macias, certainly grabbed the attention of prospective schools.

Also helping matters is the fact that Mannisto is a dual threat, fully capable of handling the place-kicking duties as well as the punting responsibilities.
