St. Joseph‘s girls’ basketball team laid the smackdown on another opponent at the Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions on Friday, and it shouldn’t surprise anyone that one of the Reizebos sisters had something to do with it.

Sophomore Analise Reizebos, who’s typically a little more laidback than her senior sister, Devin, when it comes to scribbling all over the scoresheet, finished with a game-high 14 points in the Knights’ 64-21 triumph over Chaminade in the Green Division championship semifinals. St. Joseph improved to 9-0 and will play in the division finals against Orange Lutheran at 5:45 p.m. Saturday.

Now call it a hunch, but I think the Knights are going to take their second tournament title of the season on Saturday and I’m pretty sure they’re going to do it with a 1-2 Reizebos’ punch. Devin is averaging a team-best 13.4 ppg and lil’ sis Analise is third in team scoring behind Ane McPike, averaging 8.5 ppg and close to seven rpg.

These siblings are a big reason St. Joseph has outscored its competition by an average of more than 48 points in this tourney (by more than 38 points against opponents on the season) and why Santa Barbara tournament organizers will likely force the Knights to graduate to the more competitive Gold Division next year.
