Laguna Hills wrestling wasn’t exactly a shrinking violet at the Ed Spring Holiday Classic on Saturday at Brea Olinda.

The Hawks won three titles and had top-eight finishers in 13 of the 14 weight classes. No wonder they finished almost 160 points ahead of second-place San Clemente, according to Lou Ponsi’s account in the Register.

Bobby Morales (112 pounds), Bear Barnes (135) and Brandon Roell (145) won titles for Laguna Hills. The lower weight MVP went to Billy Jackson (140) of Magnolia. The upper weight MVP went to Kyle Haupt (189) of El Dorado, who pinned four of his five opponents, all in less than a minute.

That’s taking care of business.
