At the Gahr Holiday Classic girls’ basketball tournament in Cerritos, where Narbonne is playing host Gahr.

I didn’t know how long the Gladiators would hang with the Gauchos. Gahr did so for a quarter, leading 18-16.

But Narbonne went on a 9-2 run to open the second quarter and wound up leading, 42-32, at halftime.

The game wouldn’t be that close without Gahr’s excellent point guard Raynal Johnson. She had 20 of Gahr’s 32 points.
