Dominguez boys’ basketball has swaggered into the new year with a sparkly 11-1 record.

The No. 6-ranked Dons recently plowed over talent-laden Campbell Hall, then shocked unbeaten Simi Valley to win the crown at the ultra-elite Torrey Pines tournament. Dominguez’s Myron Green and Jordan Hamilton have headlined of late. Green scored a team-high 20 points in the Torrey Pines final and Hamilton pocketed the tourney’s MVP award.

The Dons, in the top 25 of several national polls, could be -- and should be -- a top 10 team throughout the season. What I’m saying is, I expect the swagger to continue, and for a very good reason.
