Just call me the prophet

You know how it is? You have a feeling something really unusual is going to happen, and then it happens but you never told anybody of your prophecy, then nobody believes you?

Well, I’m glad I actually blogged that Murrieta Valley would lose its first game before Etiwanda or Redlands would, and not just thought it. Now there’s more proof that I should moonlight as a palm reader.

Perris took down the Nighthawks, 70-64, on Friday night, ending their school-record 15-game winning streak to start the season. Sounds as if Murrieta Valley had a case of the sweaty palms because it committed 18 turnovers.

The Nighthawks can’t afford to be jittery Tuesday night in a Southwestern League opener against host Vista Murrieta. The Broncos feature a balanced lineup, with five players who average between 8.2 and 10.7 points.

Here’s my next prediction. Vista Murrieta wins this one too. You read it here first.
