Alpha League title favorite Maranatha better be wary of a quick-starting Campbell Hall squad when the teams meet on Friday.

The seven sophomores who started as freshmen last year have been tearing up the pitch for the Vikings, and no one’s been more devastating than the second-year scoring duo of forwards Krystal Moore and Ari Krakowsky.

On Tuesday, Moore scored all of the Vikings’ goals in their 3-0 victory over Crossroads to up her season total to seven in seven games. Krakowski’s five goals have also made her a regular on the scoresheet. Unfortunately for Campbell Hall, Krakowski won’t play against Maranatha, ranked No. 7 in the Southern Section Division V coaches’ poll, because of a previous school commitment.

‘We’re going to miss her, but we’ll need to manage,’ said Campbell Hall Coach Marty Rackham, whose team is 3-0 in league play. ‘Krystal and Ari have been huge for us this season.’
