We dig his gym-jarring dunks. They rattle rafters. They awe eyes. And don’t forget his smorgasbord of floaters, layups and jumpers.

You know him. But I’ll introduce him anyway...

He is DeMar DeRozan, Compton boys’ basketball super-scorer and -- let’s be real -- a Youtube.com sensation for let’s say not passing. Screech! Hold up. Wait a sec. The kid can dish. ‘He’s an excellent passer,’ said Coach Tony Thomas. ‘But because he’s a great scorer, it’s tough to have him pass.’

DeRozan leads Compton in points (30.1), rebounds (7.7) and assists (3.7). Tonight, in a 61-51 victory over Long Beach Wilson, DeRozan had seven assists (and 29 points). Two games before, he assisted 10 times. ‘Oh yeah, he’s a complete player,’ Thomas said.

Incredibly complete.
