Chatsworth goes down, and coach isn’t happy

They are running an hour behind schedule at the Ayala Extravaganza, so I caught the fourth quarter of Magnolia’s 48-42 victory over Chatsworth.

Chatsworth Coach Michelle Chevalier was brutally honest afterward, way too honest for me to address while blogging by Blackberry.

But here’s a taste of what she said: ‘It’s one thing to beat up on teams that are subpar, but it’s time for us to step up against high-caliber teams if (we’re) serious about our quest for the City championship. Playing like this against Narbonne is not going to get it done.’

Chatsworth was -- get this -- 22 of 33 from the free-throw line. That’s more than half its points. The Chancellors made only two of 14 shots in the first half, five of 20 in the second.
