Some questions which plague my soul...

Why are they called apartments when they’re all stuck together? What would Geronimo say if he jumped out of an airplane? And, if olive oil comes from olives, where does baby oil come from?

One question that’s not so troubling: What makes Redondo’s Antonye Nyingifa so good? The answer: just about everything. She scores (21.6 points a game), rebounds (13) and gets assists (4.5). She can dribble from coast to coast, then finesse a mid-range jumper or power inside for a layup.

‘No question,’ Coach Marcello Enriquez said, ‘she’s definitely one of the top-three players in the area.’

But is the UCLA-bound Nyingifa the perfect player? Not quite yet, Enriquez said, noting two facets she still must master -- three-point consistency and a left-handed shot. But there’s one more attribute which makes Nyingifa so superb: She keeps her cool. ‘A lot of times, it’s hard to tell from her facial expression what she’s feeling,’ Enriquez said. ‘She doesn’t get too excited.’

Nyingifa is one player who’s a must-see, so check out Redondo (17-2, 4-1) host Palos Verdes on Friday at 6 p.m.

Oh, before I go, here’s one more question that plagues me: Why do movies always assume aliens don’t wear clothing? Ah, well, my poor soul.
