The Rancho Cucamonga boys’ basketball team has been overshadowed by fellow Baseline League members Etiwanda and Upland, but the Cougars can leap back into the league race with a victory over visiting Upland at 6:30 tonight/Friday.

Rancho Cucamonga (16-6, 3-2) lost by two points the last time it played the Highlanders on Jan. 8. Nick Bennett and Rashad Bowie, both good-sized senior guards, and Teminiro E-nunu, a 6-8 senior center, are the main figures for the Cougars.

E-nunu will have his hands full with Kevin Bradshaw, a 6-8 forward for Upland, but I have a feeling Rancho Cucamonga will take advantage of its home-court advantage and win a close one.
