It’s time to witness the Greatest Show in Mid-Air

The 17 banners hang from above as the Moore League battles of yesteryear still seem alive on the floor below. This joint is cool, and I’m here now, the Compton High School gymnasium.

It’s first quarter, Compton vs. Millikan, and one kid’s mega-dunk just rocked the rafters. Guess who? Yeah, you know who.

It’s my first time witnessing the Greatest Show in Mid-Air: DeMar DeRozan -- Compton’s super-scorer and super-soarer, whom many hoops pundits consider as the best high school player in the nation.

I’ll check back in with some other observations.
