Going into the City Championship semifinal against Chatsworth on Thursday, Taft wanted to slow it down, use clock, limit possessions.
But the visiting Toreadors are having a very hard time getting the ball past the halfcourt line, much less execute an offense.
The defending champs won’t be defending champs much longer.
Chatsworth, the top seed, leads fifth seed Taft 23-4 with six minutes left in the second quarter, and the Chancellors can make travel plans for next week’s title game at the Sports Arena.
