City semifinals: Phelps a ‘Mission Impossible’ for Fremont

Taft has moved out to a 37-26 halftime lead and Fremont is trouble thanks to Eugene Phelps.

The Toreadors’ 6-foot-6 senior forward has made all seven of his shots, scored 15 points, blocked two shots and is making life miserable on the inside for Fremont forwards Tony Freeland and Laron Armstead.

Unlike the Fairfax-Westchester game earlier tonight, I don’t see this one coming down to a last-second shot.
