Boys’ soccer: OC soccer ‘freaks’ faced with a dilemma

If you’re a fan of soccer, and, particularly, if you’re a fan of soccer in Orange County, today’s announcement of the Southern Section championship schedule left you screaming at your computer.

Only two of the six boys games scheduled to be played on Saturday involve Orange County teams, and both will be played at the same time -- at two different sites. Santa Margarita meets Newbury Park in the Division I championship at Warren High at 2 p.m. while Saddleback and La Habra will square off at the same time in an all-OC Division III title game at Downey High.

As much as I want to watch La Harba’s Edgar Bran in action, the David-versus-Goliath match in Division I is too much to pass up. What game are you going to go watch?
