From first-round, go-homer to divisional title contender, Knight has proved its one of the best basketball teams in Southern California. But can you imagine how great they’d be if Division I recruiting target Krys Faber had decided to stay in town?

Check out this article in the AV Press highlighting Faber’s decision to leave Knight after his sophomore year to play for Ribet Academy in Los Angeles. Ironically, Faber, who still lives in Palmdale, lists ‘exposure’ as one of the main reasons for the move.

I’m sure Faber will be rooting for his buddy Paul George and the rest of his old mates when they tip off against top-seeded Rancho Verde in the Division II-A title game at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Honda Center.

Still, I can’t help but wonder what an experienced, double-barreled threat of George and Faber would have been like.
