Darshae Burnside, Cajon’s 6-foot-1 junior center, scored only two points in the first half, but had eight of her team’s nine points in the third quarter.

Rhema Gardner converted a three-point play with 24 seconds left to give Ayala a 35-34 lead, but Layshia Clarendon’s free throw with 16 to go tied it at 35-35.

The last time they played, Ayala won, 47-46, on Rebekah Gardner’s free throws with five seconds remaining. This one looks like it’s going to the wire, too.
