City Section champion Taft and standout point guard Larry Drew Jr. kept rolling Monday night, routing Chino Hills, 78-52, in a Southern California Regional Division I first-round game.

It’s clear that Drew has taken his game to another level. He scored 21 points and had 13 assists to lead four players in double figures.

If Taft (26-3) is going to be beaten, some team will have to figure out how to keep Drew from dictating the tempo. But it’s unlikely to happen. His knowledge, intelligence and athleticism has him playing like the All-American he has become.
