I just arrived at San Clemente High and there is a large amount of cars in the student parking lot that have their windows painted with signs like, ‘Go Girls Soccer.’ One car read, ‘Honk for SC girls soccer team.’ I wouldn’t advise people to pollute the enviroment with noise, but I heard one car honking while driving past the car.

The Tritons are hosting El Camino Real at 5 p.m. today in the quarterfinals of the SoCal Regional Division I playoffs. As you can tell, there’s a lot of anticipation for this game. But as hyped as the student body might be, I’m expecting an easy win by SC. Even though ECR just won their eighth consecutive City Section title, the Conquistadores didn’t fare well against teams from the Southern Section this season -- they went 0-3-1 in four games and were outscored, 7-1.

The girls game is not the game I’ll be watching today. Once this game ends I’m heading over to the Santa Margarita-Coronado boys’ Division II game that starts at 7 p.m. at St. Margaret’s High.
