Oak Park proves me wrong time and time again

Got to be honest here, I’ve underestimated the Oak Park boys’ basketball team all year and never gave the Eagles the credit they deserved. Had the opportunity to pick them as my favorite in the Tri-Valley League race, but didn’t. Could have jumped on the bandwagon once the Southern Section Division III-AA playoffs started, but didn’t.

Starting to wonder if I will ever learn... Then again, perhaps my lack of respect -- maybe support is a better word -- has served as added motivation for Oak Park. Suppose we’ll find out one way or another tonight as the Eagles play my odds-on favorite, Hanford, in a Division III quarterfinal game of the Southern California Regional playoffs with a spot in Thursday’s semis reserved for the winner.
