Mater Dei climbs atop Mission Hills, 18-14, after first quarter

End of the first quarter at the Southern California Regional Division II semifinal between top-seeded Mater Dei and visiting Mission Hills and it’s still a close game, just as I expected.

Check back with me in 20 minutes, however.

The Monarchs led, 18-14, scoring the last three points of the quarter, but the Grizzlies are showing a pulse.

Jensen Moore does have a nice little stroke for Mission Hills, knocking down a pair of three-pointers to lead the Grizzlies.

Blake Arnet has six points to lead Mater Dei and one of the Wear twins has five (does it really matter which one at this point?).
