Santa Margarita made a first-half goal from Alex Rodriguez stand up as it beat San Diego Cathedral, 1-0, in the Southern California Regional Division II final.

The was the Eagles’ 19th shutout of the season, one shy of the school record. However, Santa Margarita did break the school record for least goals allowed in a season with 12, breaking the old mark of 13 set in 1993.
