Girls’ basketball: Division V final is, essentially, over

Ugly. Ugly. Ugly. This one got out of hand real quick. Mission Prep is toying with Escondido Calvin Christian at this point, leading 47-24 with 2:15 remaining in the Division V title game of the Southern California Regional playoffs at Mater Dei High.

Looks as if the Royals will be heading to the state finals at Arco Arena in Sacramento next weekend.

It’s official: This one is over, Mission Prep wins, 52-25.
