Nikki Speed and Talia Caldwell had trouble avoiding foul trouble throughout Saturday’s Southern California Regional playoff game and their absence ended up costing Marlborough in a 69-53 loss to La Jolla Country Day in the Division IV title game at Mater Dei High.
