Thanks to a little blood on the uniform of 6-7 Tyreese Breshers of Price, Renaissance was able to take advantage of Breshers’ absence at the end of the second quarter and has opened a 30-21 halftime lead in the Southern California Regional Division V final at Mater Dei.

Breshers had to leave the game to get the blood wiped away, and Renaissance did most of its damage behind 6-8 sophomore DeAndre Daniels, who scored four baskets in the quarter. Renaissance went on a 12-0 run at the end of the quarter. Daniels filled in well for 6-10 Anthony Stover, who missed the entire second quarter with three fouls.
