The amount of talent and interest in baseball throughout the Valley is unquestioned.

That’s one thing that makes border wars like this afternoon’s Cleveland-San Fernando game intriguing.

The visiting Cavaliers (4-2) are coming off a big win over Crespi on Tuesday, the same Crespi some area pundits believe is the Valley’s best team.

San Fernando finally got a win-- against four losses -- by beating Banning on Wednesday. But the Tigers must have some stellar pitching; so far no one has scored more than four runs against them.

Cleveland had a breakthrough of sorts against Crespi. I wonder if San Fernando can have a similar breakthrough against the Cavs today.
