Long Beach Poly girls’ swim team does its best too

Hate to interrupt all this March Madness with a swimming update of all things.

Yes, I said swimming.

From the pool, the number is 14 -- that’s how many best times were recorded by the Long Beach Poly girls’ team yesterday in a 98-72 win over Long Beach Millikan.

A couple highlights...

Taylor Johnson won the 100-meter backstroke with a personal-best 1:09.19, and Geena Yu won the 100-meter breastroke with a best of 1:17.52.

Well, that’s all from the water -- now, back to the hardwood!
