Gosh, it feels like I’m force-feeding you too much Poly girls’ basketball news, and the dang season ended a week ago. But I want you to know that one Jackrabbit cracked hoopgurlz.com‘s top-10 list for its national player rankings for the 2009 season.
Yes, 2009. Didn’t ’08 just begin?
Well, here she is...
Ranked No. 5 is Monique Oliver, the 6-foot-3 center for the Jackrabbits. ‘Mo’ transferred from Nevada’s Cheyenne High and averaged 9.3 points and nine rebounds for the state champions this season. She’s not alone on the top-60 list. Her teammate, Kelli Thompson, was slotted in the No. 36 spot.
