Baseball: So far Tesoro has a case of the oops

Errors by Tesoro shortstop Gabe Soria and left fielder Doug Hobson opened the door for Thousand Oaks to score six unearned runs in the third inning of their Anderson Bat National Classic game today at Brookhurst Park in Anaheim.

The Lancers are breezing in the bottom of the fourth, 8-1, over Tesoro, which moved from No. 8 to No. 2 in The Times’ weekly ranking of Southland teams released today.

I’m assuming this is a lead they will be able to hold. Thousand Oaks had been ranked fifth by The Times last week but fell to No. 15 this week.
