Chatsworth softball coach Jaisa Creps, pictured, has resigned, according to Athletic Director Michael Immken. Her resignation is effective immediately and it came as a mutual decision between Creps and the school’s athletic department.

Liz Lara, who coached the Chancellors from 2006-07, will take over for the rest of the season. Chatsworth is 10-5 on the season and 1-1 in West Valley League play heading into today’s game against El Camino Real.

Creps was a standout softball player at Valencia, where she was a four-time All-Foothill League selection from 2000-03. She played catcher at UCLA and was a member of the 2003 Team USA Junior World Championship squad.

She accepted the Chatsworth job just days after graduating from UCLA last June.
