Argaez homers four times in a row for Capistrano Valley Christian

I wish I could write four great blogs in a row. Heck, I’d settle for four good ones.

But how about Andre Argaez of Capistrano Valley Christian? Argaez hit home runs in four consecutive at-bats over the course of two games at different sites. That definitely trumps four Pulitzer-worthy blogs in a row. Hey, why is there no Pulitzer Prize for blogs? Seems to me that if there was, Austin Knoblauch would be right there (he writes, he videotapes, he takes pictures, he embeds).

Anyway, Argaez muscled homers in his last two at-bats against St. Margaret’s on April 8, and three days later in his first two at-bats, also against St. Margaret’s. I’m impressed, especially since he is 5 feet 9 and 170 pounds. He’s not exactly McGwire-esque. He had hit only four home runs his first three years of high school ball.

To read more about Argaez, check out Steve Fryer’s column. Or, you can read about him in a previous blog by my colleague at The Times, Steve Galluzzo. It was one that I had overlooked, but I still feel it important to complain about blogs and Pulitzers.
