The City Section is proposing that its boys’ basketball semifinals be played at an off-campus site. The proposal was given a first reading at the City IAC meeting on Monday and will be voted on at the June meeting.

The City was able to hold a semifinal doubleheader this past season at USC’s Galen Center, and made money. This rule change would give flexibility to the athletics office to make arrangements with local junior colleges for a semifinal site instead of having the higher seed host the game in its gym.
