Gosh, this is alarming.

During the fourth game of Redondo’s volleyball match against Palos Verdes on Tuesday, Redondo’s Matt Guernsey hit a ball that ricochetted off the fire alarm high on a gym wall.

The alarm blared, causing an eight-minute delay and allowing Redondo a chance to regroup. Coach Duncan Avery told the Breeze: ‘I think it did help us out. The PV coach said it happens all the time at practice, but during a match, that’s something else.’

Meanwhile, Christian Cannon caught, er, fire with 27 kills and five blocks while Spencer Fournell had 17 kills and five blocks and Robbie Horn chipped in 68 assists for victorious Redondo (11-8, 3-3).
