Baseball: Arcadia strikes first in the fourth

Arcadia took the lead on double by David Huntzinger to break a scoreless tie with Crescenta Valley.

With one out and sophomore Jon Larson at first, Huntzinger ripped a first-pitch fastball down the left field line that went into the corner of the outfield. Crescenta Valley’s shortstop alertly tried to slow down Larson at second, by running in front of him, but Larson kept on going and beat the throw to home.

Heading into the bottom of the fourth, it’s Arcadia 1, Crescenta Valley 0.
