Boys’ golf: Highlanders win City championship by seven strokes

It’s all over but the medal presentations at Griffith Park, where Granada Hills held off a final-round charge from El Camino Real to win the City Section golf championship by seven shots.

Defending champion El Camino Real made up seven strokes Wednesday on the 6,942-yard Wilson Course but finished in second place with a two-day total of 782. Chris Kim shot a final-round 75 and Brady Ma carded a 78 to lead 6A League runner-up Granada Hills, which finished at 775.

Van Nuys freshman Robin Jang shot a one-under-par 71 to win the individual title by four strokes over Kim and Gabe Durkin of Cleveland.
