Maybe I jinxed Matt Johnson.

I just blogged how the Lakewood ace was on cruise control, throwing a one-hitter through three innings. Here, in the fourth, Tustin’s bats have come to life, rapping out three hits, including Travis Harrison’s single that scored Jeremy McKenzie, who tripled to lead off the inning.

But a pitcher’s best pal just happened -- a double play -- and Johnson and Lakewood have escaped with nominal damage, in the Southern Section-Toyota Division I first-round game at Blair Field in Long Beach.
