Track and field: Antelope Valley’s Butts wins boys’ long jump

Antelope Valley’s Ryan Butts easily won the boys’ long jump. The senior, with a mark of 23-4 3/4, won the Division II title at the Southern Section-Toyota Championship Saturday at Mt. San Antonio College.

Vista Murrieta’s DJ Lloyd won the Division I championship, Gahr’s Aaron Bradley won in Division III and James Short of St. Bonaventure won in Division IV with a mark of 21-10.75 that did not qualify him for Friday’s Masters meet.
